Rail and technology manufacturer Siemens Mobility has signed an historic agreement with Australia's Transport and Infrastructure Ministers to commit to improving national rail interoperability.
Siemens Mobility Australia and New Zealand CEO, Raphaelle Guerineau, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for Rail Interoperability (MoC) alongside our CEO Michael Hopkins at the company's Port Melbourne manufacturing facility, which supplies locally built rail infrastructure and technology across Australia and Asia.
The MoC, part of the National Rail Action Plan, supports government and industry efforts to consider national interoperability when planning future investments in rail.
Working together will be the catalyst that delivers an Australian rail network that operates smoothly across state borders through the use of compatible technologies and systems.
Thank you to Siemens Mobility and other MoC signatories which includes Transport Ministers from the Commonwealth and state governments, Alstom, Aurizon, ARTC and rail operators.
