National Transport Commission (NTC) Chairman Greg Martin has congratulated Ross Fraser, who was awarded the Medal (OAM) in the Order of Australia this Australia Day for services to the livestock transport industry.
Ross is the immediate past Chairman and a current Director of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA), and former President of the Australian Livestock Transporters Association. He has over 45 years of experience in livestock transport with Frasers Livestock Transport, the family-run business established in 1944 in Warwick, Queensland.
“Ross has a long history of service to the transport industry – dedicating significant time and effort to representing trucking operators through the ATA and other associations – on top of the day-to-day demands of running his business,” said Mr Martin.
“His commitment has ensured the interests of his industry are fully understood by policy-makers to achieve better reform outcomes.”
“NTC congratulates Ross on his Australia Day recognition and looks forward to continued work with him in the future.”
Other transport identities who received Australia Day honours (AM) include Bill Killinger for service to railway engineering and Llew Russell for service to the shipping and transport logistics industries.
